AI receptionist for trucking and moving companies
For carriers, owner-operators and moving companies, the people who answer the phone are often driving or on a job. ReadyOffice answers every call, separates urgent requests from routine ones, transfers only what you designate as urgent and keeps invoicing and payment reminders on schedule.

Industry challenges
Common challenges in trucking and moving
Time on the road and time on the phone cannot overlap safely. These gaps cost loads, bookings and cash flow.
- Missed load offers
Broker calls received while driving go unanswered, and loads are assigned to other carriers.
- Slow quote responses
Moving inquiries go to the first company that returns the call.
- Buried schedule changes
Delivery window changes left by voicemail are not seen in time.
- Delayed invoicing
Invoices and payment reminders are postponed until the end of the week.
How ReadyOffice addresses them
The AI Receptionist decides which calls reach you and how, and Billing & Collections keeps invoices and payment reminders on schedule while you drive. Each feature shows its availability.

How can I help you?
- Caller
Hi, we're moving out of a two-bedroom apartment on the 30th, about 40 minutes away. Do you have a crew that day?
- AI assistant
I can take the details for a quote. What floor is the apartment on, and is there an elevator?
- Caller
Third floor, there's an elevator but we'd need to book it. And we have a piano.
- AI assistant
Thank you, that is important for the crew. May I have your name and the best number to reach you?
- Caller
Sam Nguyen, this number is fine.
- AI assistant
Thank you, Sam. The owner is on the road at the moment. I am forwarding your request, and you will receive a call back today with availability for the 30th and a quote that includes the piano.

Recommended plan
Standard$149 a month
Standard usually fits a trucking or moving business: the AI receptionist answers while you drive and puts urgent calls through, and quotes and invoices with online payment come with it. A fleet that needs more mailboxes for dispatch and billing can grow into Pro.
Compare all plans and pricesRegulatory considerations
Regulatory points relevant to this sector, each sourced from an official government page. This is general information, not legal or tax advice; requirements vary by province.
Hands-free only while driving (Ontario)
In Ontario it's illegal to hold a phone while driving, including when you're stopped in traffic or at a red light. A hands-free device is allowed, and a securely mounted phone can be touched only to make, answer or end a call. This is Ontario's law; check the rules of each province you drive in. [1]
Your CVOR certificate (Ontario)
If you operate a commercial vehicle in Ontario, you need a valid commercial vehicle operator's registration (CVOR) certificate, kept up to date, with the certificate or a copy carried in each commercial vehicle and shown to enforcement on request. [2]
GST/HST on freight and moving invoices
Once your taxable revenue goes over $30,000 in one calendar quarter, or over four calendar quarters in a row, you have to register for the GST/HST and charge it on your invoices. [3]
Common questions
Will it put calls through to me while I'm driving?
Only the ones you've marked as urgent, and only to the phone you choose. Before a call is put through you hear a few words about who's calling and why, so you can decide hands-free whether to take it. Everything else waits as a summary.
Can it give a moving quote?
It takes the details a quote needs, such as the size of the home, floors, elevator, large items and dates, and passes them to you. It doesn't give prices on its own.
How do I see what happened while I was on the road?
Every call it takes is summarized, and the morning digest lists missed calls and unpaid invoices by text or email, so you can catch up at the first stop.
