Short answer

Every page on this site is written to help a business owner decide, not to fill space. Facts come from official sources and are linked with the date we checked them. AI tools help us draft and translate, and a person on our team reviews every page before it is published. If you find a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.

How we write

We write for owners of small and growing businesses across Canada. Each page answers one question, puts the short answer near the top and explains the details below it.

  • Plain language, in English and in Canadian French.
  • No statistics we can't source, and no promises of hours saved.
  • Every feature we describe shows its status, read from one list, so a page never promises more than we offer.
  • Examples, such as sample calls, are marked as examples and use made-up business names.

Where our facts come from

Rules and regulations come from official sources only: the CRTC, the Government of Canada and provincial governments. Each page lists its sources and the date we last checked them.

  • Our prices come from one price list that every page reads, so they match everywhere.
  • When an official page blocks automated reading, we read a dated copy kept by the Internet Archive and say so next to the source.
  • If we can't confirm a rule on an official page, we leave it out.

How we research comparisons and keep them fair

Our comparison pages set out what we provide for businesses evaluating other providers, with every fact about the other provider taken from its own public pages.

  • Every fact about another company comes from its own public pages, or an Internet Archive copy of them, with a link and the date we checked it.
  • If we can't confirm something on their pages, the table says so. We never guess.
  • Facts older than 120 days can't be published: the site won't build until they are checked again.
  • We use company names only to identify them, never their logos, and we're not affiliated with them.
  • No company pays us to appear, or not to appear, in a comparison.

How we use AI

AI tools help us research, draft and translate pages, and make the illustrations on the site. A person on our team reads every page, checks each fact against its source and approves it before it is published.

  • AI never publishes a page on its own.
  • The illustrations are generated: they show no real people, customers or businesses, and no brand logos.
  • We never present AI-made people as real customers or staff.

Reviews and updates

Pages with facts that change show the date they were last reviewed. We review a page when a rule or a price it covers changes, and every comparison at least every 120 days.
